2 days til exams are over, 3 til I’m only that flight home. I’m so over these stupid exams what with people starting after, ending and leaving before me! Just slightly jealous that you guys get to go out and have fun whilst I’ve to stay at home and study for some silly paper which I don’t even want to go for. No way am I taking math again next semester. I’d like to take a fun subject for once, and not something that people will stare and go, ‘Huh? You’re taking calculus? Vector Calculus?’ But, its my last paper and it was fun learning it. So I must say that as much as I hate this stupid subject, it was fun, to a certain extent. I hope they decide to cancel exams at the last minute, this way I can get my grade from my assignments alone.
Honestly speaking, I’m actually quite afraid of this last paper. I don’t know half of what my lecturer was talking about whilst he was teaching, and I have no idea what I’m doing. I don’t remember any formulas or the application of formulas. Math isn’t about remembering formulas and methods, its about understanding the concept behind the formula, and then when it comes to the question, its the simple application of the concepts. Problem: I DON’T UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPTS! I love the feeling of solving a problem, and knowing that you did it correctly. Math is the only subject that you can get full marks for, and the only subject that isn’t dependent on how you phrase your opinion. If you know what I mean. Or rather, at least for simple math it is, engineering is a different story altogether!
I shall now stress out over a question, and then get that sense of satisfaction and happiness when I finally solve it and get the correct answer. Oh dear, I think I’m gonna do math next semester again.
